How do I choose between joining as an agent or as a partner?
If you want to focus on client relationships and closing transactions without handling administrative tasks, joining as an agent is ideal. However, if you're looking to build and manage your own team, grow your brand, and access full backend support, joining as a partner may be more suitable. You can start with our free plan to get going and upgrade as your team grows or if you need additional support.
What is the primary difference between an agent and a partner?
Agents focus on sales and client relationships, benefiting from a 90/10 commission split and essential support services. Partners, however, can build and manage their own teams, access enhanced support and customization options, and benefit from additional revenue streams through team commissions and subscriptions.
Can I start as an agent and later become a partner?
Yes, you can start as an agent to familiarize yourself with our systems and services. As your business grows and you feel ready to take on more responsibilities, you can transition to a partner role.
How does the commission structure differ between agents and partners?
Both agents and partners enjoy a 90/10 commission split. However, partners receive additional compensation by earning a portion of Link’s commission on their team's transactions, allowing them to offer competitive splits to their agents while still making money.
What should I consider regarding subscription revenue as a partner?
Partners can charge their team agents a monthly fee for additional services, support, mentorship, office space, etc., and receive 80% of that income. This can be a significant revenue stream, especially for larger teams.
How does revenue sharing from transactions work for partners?
Partners receive a portion of Link’s brokerage cut for every transaction completed by their team. Setting higher team agent splits can increase the partner’s earnings from each transaction. Learn more
What technology tools are available for agents?
All agents have access to our proprietary software, including digital onboarding, deal and task management, performance tracking, and synchronized calendars.
What additional technology and customization do partners get?
Partners can access white-labeled software with higher customization options, allowing them to create a personalized experience for their team. This includes advanced features like custom training programs and community chat rooms.
What are the requirements for agents joining a team?
Agents are required to join a team of one of our partners or our virtual team. Each team has different benefits and covers different areas, as partners are responsible for their compensation structures. Each partner's team may have different membership structures. Link Brokerages' virtual brokerage starts at $70/month to get a baseline of products.
What is Link Brokerages' virtual team?
Link offers a basic virtual team membership where you can hang your license with us and take advantage of all of Link’s benefits at baseline features, support, and financial benefits. Learn More
What is the difference between joining Link’s virtual team and one of Link’s partners?
Joining Link’s virtual team provides you with all the baseline benefits but lacks mentorship, hands-on support, or a physical office. This option suits those who know what they are doing and need flexibility. Our Link partners may offer different services, benefits, and mentorships that might suit you better. You can browse our list of teams to see what works best for you.
What are the qualification requirements for joining as an agent or a partner?
Joining as an agent does not require qualification unless otherwise specified by a partner. Generally, partners require a qualification of 10 sales or $4 million in gross volume in the last 12 months to ensure the quality of agents managing teams. Special exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis, so reach out to find out more.
